I am thankful I checked my bag before leaving. And my oldest loved the fried chicken. This is why I love Yelp. The garlic potatoes tasted like something out of my Mom's oven and the mac 'n' cheese was scrumptiously gooey - not that thin, watery cheese, but cheese with some weight to it. We had the catfish fillets with collards and garlic mash potatoes and they were some of the best we have ever had. We've been for breakfast twice and dinner twice.
. I watched them batter it and fry it. Thankfully my trusted Yelpers led us to exactly what we were looking for and did not disappoint. My husband wanted grouper but sadly they didn't have any in, but the flounder he ordered was absolutely amazing. My eggs were not edible and the biscuits were still extremely doughy.
If we lived near here they would know my name and birthday because I'd be there on the regular. It tastes good just over salted a bit and it didn't seem very fresh, like the food had been sitting out. My kids and even the neighborhood kids love them. The fries had real potential, but they were woefully under cooked and lacked salt. Tasted like straight vinegar on top of those over done fries no chili flavor at all the fried squash was extra mushy inside. They should stick to the chicken and thats it!! I am sure I will dream about this drink forever! They do one thing, the freshest fried seafood and chix.

I understand that sometimes life sends us reeling because of unexpected situations. The shrimp had a crispy seasoned flour crispy coating and the fish had a cornmeal crunchy coating. They start to serve fried chicken around 9is Located in the middle of nowhere, Jays place is bit hard to find.
I'll note something no one else has in this space: the mashed. Shellfish Clam Chowder -Award winning New England Style. I think it's because there are fewer people working in the morning Anyway, a solid 3. The place has plenty of seating but it does fill up pretty quickly. Doesn't look like much on the outside but seriously take the chance and head in! The coleslaw is more sour than creamy I prefer creamy. The menu has expanded from when they first opened. And that Arnold Palmer tea?! If I'm ever in Brunswick, I'll be sure to stop by again and try the other stuff.
