Mary and Lille are almost polar opposites and the attraction between Lille and Max is hot. Copyright © 2001 - 2019 Clips4Sale® All Rights Reserved. So far the most intriguing thing about this book is the title. Easy flow, and very well descriptive Loved it! The novel is definitely the first part of a trilogy and I will confess that I wanted to know what happened but am not expecting much following this novel. It isn't as raunchy as I was hoping it would be from the title and the cover , but it leaves you a bit satiated but definitely wanting more!! Nothing to thrilling or sexy, the main character sure is full of herself. Since the book was actually only a novella, it was a lot faster to read and I ended up racing through it in record time.
Lillehammer Marceau is a woman with a past. Don't let the title of the series The Fetish Queen deceive you too much. At this point in The Fetish Queen. I wish that it would have moved a little faster. Lillehammer Marceaux is a woman on the run. The love scenes were so wo NetGalley Free Book Lille has issues with being in relationships.
For someone who had to change her name to avoid detection and take on a new identity, you'd assume that she'd want to keep a low profile and blend in. Add on the fact that she has a secret past along with now heading a sex shop and you are asking fore more than an interesting read. Through the years Lille reinvented herself into this Old Hollywood femme fatale. The real problem in reviewing works that are parts of an unfinished whole.
Lillie has moved to this town and to working at the Fetish Box with her best friend Mary as a new opportunity to change her life. Blond, buxom, and bold, this fetish queen has 50s style and class with a kink of the most extravagant porn star. I'm intrigued to learn where the relationships in the book go, this was interesting, and definitely not the departure into something different that I thought it would be. Lille is a complete ball buster, and while Max is attracted to her. Lillehammer Marceau is a woman with a past.
Banter between Lillie and Max is great! Instead, her new name, Lillehammer Marceaux, isn't exactly inconspicuous. I think this is due to the first installment not being short. They clash and butt heads, they make assumptions about one another and are terribly judgmental of one another- but know they are drawn to one another. When Lille meets Max and discovers his short temper and his growing irritation for her, she decides to have a little fun and push his buttons just to get a rise out of him. A good start to the story, but I would've liked to see this more well-rounded as a story in itself, especially as this is a three part series.
Thanks netgalley for a read in exchange for my review. The other piece is that in coming to Florida, she's going to help mary improve the business. Lille has decided to leave her life behind to join Mary on her journey. I was pleasantly surprised with this book. She does not plan to deny herself anything in the pursuit of happiness and success. I love femme fatales, they're instantly attractive just by being so.
Enter Max - a hot, tattooed Irish guy who runs a pub in town. I liked the relationship that was beginning to develop between Lille and Max and look forward to reading the next part Infamous soon. Newly single and loving every minute, Lille—a. She's also a femme I received a copy of this title from NetGalley.
Finishing this 125 paged serial is painful enough, I don't think I can go through it two more times. It is interesting to see it unfold between these two characters. Lille looks as if she has stepped out from the days of pin up models. These characters are so fun and quirky and loving- they are a joy to read about. Lille and Max immediately clash because of their preconceived notions about one another. This is a serial so you want your readers to grab the next one right? Max Jobman, the Irish pub owner, has an instant dislike of her at the same time a fierce attraction to her.
All the characters complement each other and the story where they all blend in as does the main story line of the Fetish shop and Lillie trying to help Mary keep it going while Mary concentrates on her art. Max has an instant attraction to Lillie I have really enjoyed this series. The one thing that ran throughout this story though that really bugged me and that I struggled to get over was the issue of the heroine's name. The resolution and subsequent cliffhanger doesn't tie with the plot, it's related to the premise, yes, but because it wasn't reinforced throughout the serial, it didn't feel cohesive with the overall arc. Max was a little weird and Lille was even more weird and she lacked any appeal for me. This first installment in the Fetish Queen trilogy has got me wanting more.
